Hi, I’m Liz and I am a social media creator (username on Instagram and TikTok: @elisabeth_0515). I have been well-acquainted with Marah, as well as her family, on instagram and recently she requested me to start a new fundraiser as her old fundraiser is getting expired.
Here’s her story, and please do read everything in it.
My name is Marah Sharaf, I am 20 years old, and my life has been shattered by war. My family of 10 people has no income—my father was seriously injured, his intestines were cut, and he now suffers from irritable bowel syndrome, leaving him unable to work.
On October 6, 2023, I married the love of my life, Muhammad Wael Al-Arouqi. But the next day, October 7, everything changed. We suffered greatly in the northern Gaza Strip, and by November 20, 2023, the Israeli occupation forced us to flee to the south. I never saw my husband again.
On November 27, 2023, my husband’s brother, Muhannad, was killed, and our world crumbled. Then, on March 13, 2024, during Ramadan, my worst nightmare came true—I received the news that my husband had been martyred. In just a few months, I lost my home, my security, and the person I had planned my future with.
Despite everything, I refuse to give up on my education. I am studying Information Technology (IT), Multimedia, and Graphic Design at university, but with no income and no home, continuing my studies is becoming impossible.
I lost my husband. I lost my home. But I do not want to lose my future.
I’m asking for help to support my family as we are struggling to find food. Everything is gone from the markets or just so expensive. Your generosity will help cover:
